Adult Therapy

I specialize in helping individuals navigate a range of challenges including anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions. I work with clients to explore the underlying patterns affecting their emotional well-being, helping them develop new ways of relating to themselves and others. I consider the unique qualities and needs of each individual and integrate coping skills and cognitive behavioral strategies when appropriate, but much of my work is deeper, exploring emotional patterns and beliefs developed in childhood.

I have experience working with individuals navigating the effects of trauma, including PTSD. Trauma can stem from emotional or physical violence, unexpected loss, or other overwhelming experiences that affect the nervous system. It is not only about what happened but also about how those experiences continue to shape emotions, bodily responses, and one’s sense of self.

Anxiety and depression can take many forms, from persistent worry and restlessness to a deep sense of disconnection or emotional exhaustion. These patterns often emerge from early relationships, unresolved emotional conflicts, or chronic stress. Anxiety and depression are not just about thoughts or behaviors but are also rooted in the body, relationships, and unconscious patterns that shape one’s sense of self and safety. I work with individuals to explore these underlying dynamics, helping them find relief and a greater sense of stability.

I also have a particular passion for working with individuals who are experiencing career stress or burnout in their professional lives and supporting individuals navigating the emotional and psychological challenges of living with chronic illness.

At a pace that feels right for you, we will explore past experiences while becoming more aware of present feelings and emotions, especially those that may feel overwhelming or confusing. Through this process, therapy can help rewire and calm the nervous system, fostering a greater sense of stability and relief.
