FAQs

Session Frequency

Therapy sessions are typically scheduled for once a week, at the same time and day of the week. Meeting once a week provides the consistency needed to build a strong therapeutic relationship and make meaningful progress toward your goals. Regular sessions help maintain momentum, allowing us to explore patterns, process emotions, and develop insights in a way that is difficult to achieve with more sporadic meetings.

Session Length & Fees

All new clients begin with a 60 minute initial assessment, which is $230. Following the initial assessment, individual therapy, including work with adults, adolescents, and student-athletes is $200 per session for 50 minutes. Couples therapy and parent coaching sessions are 60 minutes and priced at $230 per session. My hourly rate for athletics professional development is $230.

What is a Good Faith Estimate?

A Good Faith Estimate provides an estimate of the expected costs for therapy services. It helps ensure that you have a clear understanding of potential fees before beginning treatment. You will receive a Good Faith Estimate from me during the onboarding process.

Insurance & Super Bills

I do not accept insurance, but I can provide a super bill—an itemized receipt that you can submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement. Please check with your insurance provider for more information about out-of-network coverage.

Sliding Scale

I offer a sliding scale for some clients based on individual circumstances. We can discuss this further during our consultation session.

Cancellation Policy

I require at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations. Sessions canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice may be subject to a cancellation fee.

In-Person & Telehealth Sessions

I offer both in-person and video therapy sessions. I can work with anyone who is currently residing in California.

Duration of Therapy

There is no set number of sessions. The duration of therapy depends on your needs and goals, and we will work together to determine what feels right for you.

What to Expect in the First Session

In our first session, I will gather relevant information about you, and we will discuss your goals for therapy. We will create a plan based on your goals and current circumstances.

Office Location & Parking

My office is located at 1030 Sir Francis Drake Boulevard in Kentfield, right across the street from College of Marin. There is parking available on the side and in the back of the building. I am in Suite 120—when you arrive, enter the suite and press the button for room #7.

Session Timing & Punctuality

Sessions start promptly at your scheduled time. If you arrive late, we will not be able to extend the session past the scheduled end time.
